Wise Readers,
Romania, Switzerland, Tobago, Trinidad, Canada, Australia, France, Pakistan, Philippines, UK, India, Latvia, Russia, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, USA, South Africa, Malaysia, Slovenia, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, Guyana, Netherlands, Japan, Greece, and Gabon:
These are the countries you visited from just last week. And I cannot thank you enough for finding, forwarding, and participating in research-based relationship advice for everyone.
But have you ever wanted to find the exact Love Science topic or article you wanted, exactly when you wanted it? Until now, the site just wasn’t very user-friendly that way.
As of today, as a small thanks from me—I hope you will consider that problem solved. And if the new Search and Tag features make your (love)life even a little better, they’ve done their job. Here’s how they work.
SEARCH
If you made it to Love Science, you probably know all about searches already. But just in case you don’t, here’s how they work within the LS site.
Along the left-hand side of any Love Science page, you’ll see the word “SEARCH”. Type your desired term into the box under it, hit the arrow to the box’s immediate right, and every relevant LS article and comment is listed. For instance, if you look for “settling” this way, this search would today yield 51 results.
Want to tighten your search—get, say, 13 spot-on hits for “settling” rather than 51? The advanced search option permits that. Once you’ve begun a regular search, the search box appears in the top-middle of the page; click “Show Advanced Search Options” beneath that box. Next, *uncheck* the “Love Science Relationship Advice” and “Journal Comment” boxes. Then hit the “Search” arrow again. Voila!
TAGS
Tags are categories or topics found within the site. On the left-hand side of any Love Science page, located under the search feature, you’ll see a “TAGS” label. By clicking on the “Tags Of Love Science Articles” link there, you’ll immediately see a list of topics covered at Love Science—along with how many articles are tagged with that category, from “Affair Prevention” (12 articles so far) to “Sexuality” (35).
Click on any Tag itself—“Nonverbal Communication”, for instance—and you are immediately shown a list of every LS article relevant to that topic.
Every individual article is also tagged towards the end, just after the “Comments” option; clicking any Tag under one article takes you to the list of every article bearing the same label.
Hopefully, these features will greatly enhance how fun, helpful and user-friendly you find Love Science to be. Thanks again for reading.
With my gratitude—
Cheers,
Duana
